# How to create a Solana wallet

To be able to copy insider trades you need to have your Solana wallet. We will use [Solflare](https://solflare.com/) wallet.

First of all, we go to the [Solflare](https://solflare.com/) website. Then click on the `Access wallet` button.

Since we are creating a new wallet we need to click on the button `I NEED A NEW WALLET`.

The page that opens will generate a passphrase for wallet recovery. This phrase consists of 12 words. Whoever has access to it can get access to your wallet. This phrase should be written down.

It is recommended to write down the secret phrase on a physical medium. For example, on a separate sheet of paper. You can also download it to your computer, but this is not reliable.

Next, click on the button `I SAVED MY RECOVERY PHRASE`.

To make sure we have recorded the phrase the wallet asks us to enter it. Enter the secret phrase and press the `CONTINUE` button.

The system will prompt you to enter a password that will be used to log in to the wallet. This password is set each time you restore the wallet via secret phrase or create a new wallet.

This password is not set for all devices. It is set only for logging in to the wallet from the browser where we create the wallet. We can call this password a local password.

Enter the password and press the `CONTINUE` button.

Done. Wallet created. Press `Enter Solana`.

The wallet displays: total wallet balance, wallet address, tokens on the wallet.
